First crash at Kallang Airport

The first air disaster at Kallang Airport.

The disaster happened on 13 May 1954. A BOAC Constellation, G-ALAM touched down too soon at the seaward end of the Kallang runway and crashed. Within moments the fuselage was enveloped in flames. At least 31 passengers and two crew members died in Singapore's first and only civil air disaster.
